With more than 10 years of experience in Family Practice and Occupational Medicine, Physician Assistant West is more than capable of treating both adults and children for a wide variety of medical conditions. Physician Assistant West also has particularized experience treating job-related injury, including minor surgery with suturing, burn care, removal of foreign bodies from the eye and subcutaneous areas, bracing, splinting, and casting as well as treatment of musculoskeletal strains/sprains/fractures and acute injuries, lacerations, and chemical exposures. He is also highly proficient in the management of chronic medical illness such as diabetes, thyroid and other endocrine disorders, hypertension and cardiovascular disease with a specialty in lipid management, COPD and smoking-related illnesses, sleep apnea and obesity related illness, and pediatrics. Physician Assistant West is also certified to perform DOT examinations required to maintain a commercial driver’s license in Texas. He received his Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor University. Prior to pursuing his medical degree, Physician Assistant West served honorably for 22 years as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, commanding units of up to 300 active duty airmen and civilians.
Physician Assistant West sees patients at the St. Joseph Clinic Wednesday through Friday and periodically at the West Tidwell Clinic.
